Pioneer Square gets arty
Seattle’s art scene is thriving with new shows and galleries across all genres. Pioneer Square is now home to standout Chatwin Arts, a brand-new gallery with original art and affordable prints for purchase. New exhibitions will be on rotation monthly.
Thomas Dambo Trolls captivate the PNW
Danish conservation artist Thomas Dambo continues to gain international acclaim for his latest public art project: Northwest Trolls: Way of the Bird King. Five giant-sized troll sculptures, each with a whimsical name and personality, have been installed around the Pacific Northwest with two in Seattle (five in Western Washington). Finding them is part of the fun.
Seattle Aquarium adds Ocean Pavilion (Summer 2024)
Be the first to experience the Seattle Aquarium’s new Ocean Pavilion this summer. Witness the brilliant biodiversity of marine life from the Pacific Ocean’s Coral Triangle. Get up close with sharks, rays, coral and over 3500 fascinating animals and plants. The addition is part of a massive Waterfront transformation which is underway.
