Anyone who ever thinks of Seattle immediately sees the Space Needle. It’s iconic and unique design has been the emblem for the Emerald City since its inception for the 1962’s World’s Fair. It is currently undergoing a historic renovation and we’re excited to share what’s new!
The Space Needle is an observation tower and at one point was the tallest structure west of the Mississippi. When you arrive at the top, there are windows in every direction and your breath is taken away as you witness some of the most beautiful views of Seattle. Recently opened, the Space Needle now offers Skyrisers. Here guests can ‘float’ over Seattle. Located on an open-air deck, you can lean into tilting glass wall and float over Seattle on one of the angled vantage points.
Not quite ready for the public, but coming soon are the Atmos Café and Atmos Wine Bar. Guests will be able to enjoy bites and sips while delighting in the amazing city views.
The Space Needle is also introducing The Loupe. It will be the world’s first and only revolving glass floor. Step over and look down – you’ll enjoy Seattle neighborhoods like never before!
They will also be introducing Oculus Stairs. A grand staircase that will connect the upper and lower observation levels. The staircase has been designed to give the impressions of floating off the ground.
