Seattle boasts so many amazing activities all year round, but none are more fun to partake in than when the sun is brightly shining and summer is in full effect. We’ve created a list of unique activities you can enjoy during the summer months!
Paddle Boarding is all the rage and we have a great location for you to board to your hearts content. Navigate the local waterways to the University of Washington, the Ballard Locks, through local houseboat communities, or to our beautiful arboretum. Moss Bay offers hourly rentals and is located near the heart of downtown Seattle.
Evening Farmers Market at the Pike Place Market
Love to buy local? Then head down to the Evening Farmers Market, Wednesday’s at Pike Place. Stop by after work to shop, mingle with local farmers and enjoy delicious samples of just picked-that-morning fruits and veggies.
Day Trip to San Juan Islands
A short plane ride away, Kenmore Air can jet guests up and away to the San Juan Islands where they will enjoy amazing food, fun activities and even have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the island’s larger friends.
Looking to experience more of the Puget Sound? A great and amusing activity is to hop aboard the King County water taxi from downtown Seattle and head to West Seattle’s Alki Beach. The route is the cheapest boat ride in town and it offers magnificent views of the Seattle skyline. Once you arrive on Alki, the possibilities are endless on activities and dining. Mosey up and down Alki’s boardwalk where you can peruse through shops and grab some delicious grub or wade through sands and water of the Puget Sound on the shoreline.
Whatever you chose, you can’t go wrong when it comes to enjoying activities during the beautiful summer months of Seattle.
